  • Hotels.com is part of Expedia Inc, the parent company to a global portfolio of leading consumer travel brands and the largest online leisure travel company in the world. Taken together, all the Expedia Inc sites have more than 75 million unique users each month.
  •  There are 85 sites worldwide in Europe, North, Central and South America, Australia, Japan, China and the Pacific Rim, the Middle East and South Africa. These include:

                   -Europe: 33 sites in 24 languages including Austria, Benelux, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and the Ukraine.

                   -APAC: 15 sites in 10 languages including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

                   -LatAm: 21 sites in 5 languages including Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, French Guyana, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela. 

  • The two newest sites are Indonesia and Vietnam which launched in May 2011. 
  • Hotels.com lists more than 150,000 hotels in over 19,000 locations across the globe, ranging from 5-star luxury properties to B&Bs and serviced apartments with everything in-between. 
  • An industry-leading loyalty rewards programme, Welcome Rewards, was launched in the US and Latin America in 2008, in the UK, Canada and Australia in 2010 and extended to all other Hotels.com sites worldwide in 2011. Members earn a Welcome Reward point for every night they spend in any hotel chain, boutique hotel or bed and breakfast booked on the hotels.com site, earning a free night for every 10 points. Free nights can be redeemed at more than 65,000 partner hotels, with no restrictions or blackout dates. Members can also redeem credits at independent hotels that do not have loyalty programmes of their own. The maximum value of the free night is the average daily rate of the ten nights stayed. 
  • In May 2011, Hotels.com launched two new free smart phone applications for iPhone and Android, which allow users to search and book more than 20,000 last minute deals at more than 150,000 hotels globally. Available in more than 30 languages, the apps also allow users to sort and filter hotels, browse more than 6.5 million user reviews plus find last-minute hotel deals close to their location. A custom built iPad application was launched in September 2011. 
  • Amongst other awards through the years, in 2012 ByteLevel recognized Hotels.com as a Top 5 Best Global Website for 2012. The ByteLevel report card evaluates websites on global reach, global navigation, global/mobile architecture and localization and social efforts.
