Hotels.com brand marketing director named young leader in travel industry

April 2015 – Leading online travel brand Hotels.com today announces that Senior Director of Marketing Marieke Flament has been selected as one of Phocuswright’s 35 Under 35 in the Phocuswright Young Leaders Summit.

The Young Leaders Summit recognises rising stars in the travel industry and encourages executive development through experienced guest speakers, networking and an incubatory environment. The summit showcases the important role young leaders play in the future growth of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry; in which Marieke will also take to the Young Leader’s Summit to present key findings from the travel industry.

The 35 people selected represent an elite group of ambitious professionals under the age of 35. This year’s summit will be held in Dublin, Ireland from May 12th through 15th in conjunction with Phocuswright Europe – the top European event for the travel industry.

In her current role as Senior Director of Marketing EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) at Hotels.com brand, Marieke is responsible for marketing of 33 fully localised websites in 24 languages, offering to travelers more than 425,000 hotels worldwide. Previously Senior Merchandising Manager for the Hotels.com brand, Marieke also has an MBA at London Business School and holds a Masters degree from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
